Defense Attorney Marni Jo Snyder was quoted in an op-ed piece by Kris Hermes in Newsworks.

“The U.S. Attorney’s Office and the City of Philadelphia need to recognize that their actions have created a heinous impediment to free speech,” said Marni [Jo] Snyder, one of the attorneys representing protesters arrested last week. “Free speech cannot be based on a person’s ability to pay a fine or submit to supervision by the government,” continued Snyder. “The city and federal government should do the right thing and drop all charges against the DNC protesters so no further affront to the First Amendment is committed.”
